The Character of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)
1. Truthfulness (As-Sadiq)
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was known as "Al-Amin" (the Trustworthy) and "As-Sadiq" (the Truthful) even before he received prophethood. He never lied and was respected for his honesty in all matters, personal and public.
2. Patience (Sabr)
Throughout his life, especially during the early years of prophethood, Muhammad (PBUH) endured great hardships and persecution. Yet, he displayed immense patience and perseverance, never losing faith in Allah's plan.
3. Mercy and Compassion (Rahmah)
The Prophet was merciful not only towards his followers but also towards his enemies. The Quran refers to him as a "Mercy for all worlds" (Quran 21:107), and he exemplified this mercy through acts of kindness to orphans, the poor, and even animals.
4. Humility
Despite being a leader and a Prophet, Muhammad (PBUH) lived a humble life. He engaged in simple tasks such as mending his clothes, milking his goats, and serving his family. He never sought worldly riches or power.
5. Forgiveness
The Prophet was known for his ability to forgive those who wronged him. One notable instance of this is when he forgave the people of Mecca after conquering the city, despite the years of persecution they had subjected him to.
6. Justice
Muhammad (PBUH) upheld justice in every aspect of his life. He treated everyone fairly, whether they were friends, followers, or enemies. He never showed favoritism, even when it involved his own family.
7. Generosity
The Prophet was extremely generous, often giving away all that he had to help others. He lived simply, often going without food so that others could eat, and he encouraged his followers to give to the needy.
8. Courage
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) demonstrated immense courage throughout his life. Whether facing hostile enemies or spreading the message of Islam despite widespread opposition, he never wavered in his mission.
9. Kindness to Family
The Prophet was a model family man. He treated his wives with love and respect, showed affection towards his children and grandchildren, and encouraged good family relations.
10. Trust in Allah (Tawakkul)
Above all, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had complete faith and trust in Allah. His reliance on divine guidance was unwavering, even in the most challenging situations.
